Recently Himachal Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma inaugurated Heli taxi service / Helicopter services for tourist from Chamunda Temple to Himani Chamunda on the hill top near snow ranges of Dhouladhar in Kangra district. This service is parallel to Vaishnav Devi Heli taxi service.
Old Chamunda Devi temple rests, relatively undisturbed, in its lofty locale a new Chamunda Devi temple is located at 5000 feet altitude on the Dharamsala-Palampur road. From the new temple to the old one, it’s a 13 Km stiff uphill trek. “As the old Chamunda devi temple is now linked by helicopter services, the Sidh Peeth Adhi Himani Chamunda temple will become a very attractive tourist and hindu pilgrimage center of the area.
